Since primary school, my Chinese has always been my worst subject. After entering JC and taking H1 Chinese, I know I had to pass in order to not take Chinese again in JC2. After getting failing grades for the first half of JC1, I turned to Ms. Wu for help. Her patience and dedication helped me make huge improvements in my Chinese. Both my children (P4 and P6) had previously attended Chinese tuition at other centres, but the improvement was minimal. Ever since joining Mdm. Ms Wu has been a constant in my daughter’s Chinese Learning journey since Primary 1 and this is the 8th year of teaching her. She used to dislike Chinese and found it a pain to read and speak Mandarin. She introduced Chinese comics , interests her with popular Chinese songs and discussed popular young people culture with my daughter which improved my daughter’s Chinese fluency. She never ever made my daughter feel bad that she is struggling and she continued to motivate her to try harder. Ms Wu has laid a strong foundation in my daughter’s learning journey in Chinese.
Ms Wu is highly meticulous with her lesson planning and sensitive to the areas that my daughter requires help on. She also provides me with regular feedback on my daughter’s progress during lesson.
Ms Wu is not only a skilled teacher but also one of the most dedicated teacher we have ever met. Her commitment goes beyond the classroom. She encourages , motivates my daughter. She will sometimes check in with my daughter even it’s out of her work hours. We are truly thankful of having her on this journey with us.

since i joined hmt in secondary 2, my grades were always Cs. after turning to Ms Wu for help, my grades for hmt has improved. she explains the concepts clearly and make sure i understood what she said. through her guidance and patience i managed to score an A for olevels!!
